As we said in our mouse bungee comparison, “Apuri is a Finnish word meaning a helper or an assistant and that is indeed what this device is”.

  • 4 high-speed USB 2.0 ports
  • Output power active (using AC adapter): 2A
  • Output power passive (using USB cable): 500mA
  • Length of USB cable: 1.5m
  • Length of power cable: 1.5m
  • Detachable Mouse bungee
  • 3 LEDs (top) + underlighting
  • Stable tripod design
  • Weight: 17.6 ounces

Rather than just a cable management device this device is a USB hub with a mouse bungee. Weighing a staggering 17.6 ounces (half a kilo) it is the heaviest alternative on the market which is a good thing since we are talking about gadgets that need to remain steady even while you perform rapid mouse movements. The rubbery cord holder feels durable and allows you to use all kinds of mouse cables with it.

Apuri is a bit pricey if you are looking for just a mouse bungee and can’t think of any use for the additional four USB ports that are built in to it. Also the fact that the USB ports are 2.0 instead of the modern 3.0 is a bit of a shame if you are looking for extremely fast data transferring – check out Airfox Gaming Hub if you are looking to transfer large amounts of data at superior speed. If you are just looking to charge your phone for example then it is plenty.
